Deputy Of The Supreme Soviet Of The U.S.S.R. Badge.

Hi

I would like to know, what happened if a member of the supreme Soviet of the USSR (or one of it's republics) was re-elected to another term in the suprem Soviet - did he got another badge?

This is important, since the ID for a supreme Soviet member and the badge share the same number. (see below)

Sounds more economical for them to simply validate the book/badge with a stamp of some sort..nice set by the way!

As always - WOW!!!!!!!!!!

It's seems like every time a person was elected he got ID and 2 badges - from what I can tell (hope it's true) one screwback and one pinback. Great box! Show us more, please! (the document, back of badges etc.)

In this poster you can see the badge of supreme soviet members. However, the letters are at an angle.

I never saw this bdge with this style, so my question: Is the badge have another version, or it is show only on the poster?

Badge #449

I just acquired a #449 badge without docs.

Tal, Eugene, can a determination be made as to the time period?

I also received a People's Deputee (Narodny Deputat) badge with a screwpost.

Thanks for any additional info.

Eric

To my sorrow, it is not possible to know the term by the S/N only, since every term a new set of badges was issued. Some supreme Soviet badges have the term number engraved as well as the s/n.

Meanwhile back to Deputies

New late answer to Yolkin's question about dating Deputy badges. Menokhoshin's book gives changing method of mint marks. Also screwback vs pinback is date related. Pinbacks are later except for certain rare TsIK badges. Check his book pg 164 for guide to mint marks. But there might be variations so use as a guide rather than definitive. Also People's deputy is 1989 - if USSR or 1990 if Union republic/autonomous republic. (Only one congress.)
