How about this 50 year table medal...........55mm in diameter and 93 grams of 925 silver...........wonder who got these and why?

here's the back, it is fab no matter what it is.........I am tempted to polish it to its former Glory.........Pity I have not got it's presentation case as it surely came in one

Would this be classed as a Table Medal?

It's a bit worse for wear as I came across it by accident when I saw some Uzbek kids rolling it down the street in Bukhara UZbekistan.

They were qute happy to part with it for a couple of dollars.

The 'medal' is approx 55mm dia; 4mm thick and weighs 93 grammes and I think it is solid silver, but may be wrong.

It is evidently a 50 ys comemorative medal of the formation of the USSR.

Could anyone throw any further light on it????

A table medal with enamel this time.

IT was only 55 mm in diameter and 4 mm thick, marked on the edge LMD and 925. Note the scan is huge so you can see some of the excellent detail.
