Negrebtskij/Nehrebecki, Kazimir/Kazimierz, Lieutenant-Colonel, Red/Polish Army
Again, for a very long time I wasn't sure where to put this - he served both in the Red Army and in the Polish Army and it doesn't really fall into "award groups" category, as there are documents only, but since his OPW2 (that I don't own and only have a copy of temp. certificate) citation is on podvig and will be posted here, I have decided to post this thread in this category.
At least one of the docs of this set was already posted on the forum - in the discussion about miniatures of the Soviet Awards. A bit of a story - long time ago, a guy on Polish on-line auction site put an auction "Documents of >>Polish<< general" claiming that it was a set ofdocs of aPolish general who was a Soviet Army Officer before and took part in the polo-soviet war and in the 1939 Soviet invasion on Poland etc. Of course it turned out to be the seller's vivid imagination (not the first time for him), but the set is nevetheless interesting. It is the officer's folder - not the personnel file, but afolder he used to both keep track of his service and for work purpose, and contains lots of interesting documents. A short info on the man: Kazimierz Hehrebecki, an ethnic Polish, wos born on November the 7th 1905 in Odessa. In 1923 he joinedm the Red Army entering Artillery Officer School named after Frunze in Odessa. in 1928, after graduation,he became the commander of the training platoon in the 21 Ind. Artillery Unit in Aleksandria, that was later re-formed into the 120th Hv.Art. Rgt. In 1930 he was appointed the chief of communicationsof the regiment and in 1933 - a HQ instructor in the Scientific-Experimental Anti-Air Training Grounds in Eupatoria. In 1934 he became the commander of the artillery parks inthe Light Art. Rgt. of the 51th Infantry Division in Odessa. Around 1935 he became a military pensioneer due to some health problems (considered a disabled person of the 3rd category) and from 1935 to 1938 he worked in the Fluor and Wheat Institute n. a. Stalin. In 1938 he was a training battery commander in the 16th special art. school in Odessa with the rank of sr. lieutenant. Than in March 1941 he was appointed a battery commander of the 586 art.rgt., where he suffered acontussion of some sort and in October 1941 bacame artilery tactics proffessor in the Art. Off. School in Riazan than in Talgar (Kazakhstan) and in June 1943 was moved to 30th training officer rgt. in Czebarkul (he was promoted to cpt. at that time). In may 1944 he became a professor in the Higher Infantry Officer School for the Polish Army in Riazan (later moved to Rembertów) and was promoted to major. In june 1945 he was moved to the Artillery Officer Higher Schoolin Toruń. In July 1946 he was moved back to Rembertów, to the Infantry Training Center where he served untill 1948 (unfortunately, he isn'tmentioned in CWP's monogaphy), when he was movedto the Anti-Air Art. Off. Sch. in Koszalin. A year later, he was given "at disposal of the Personnel Department of the Artillery ofthe Red Army in Moscow", and before the end of the Year, he was officially transfered to the Polish Army and in January 1950 returned to the A-A Art. Off. Sch. in Koszalin. In the -middle of the year he was dent "at disposal of the Pers. Dpt. of the Polish Army in Warsaw" and that'swhen he wasprobably sent to reserves. He later worked with the Defense Ministry and the "Air Force League" (later "Soldier's Friends League"). He was oneof the editors of the second russian-polish military dictionary. He also worked as a lecturer of Russian in the Polo-Soviet Frienship Association and a translator from Russian. He was also a member of the Reserve Officers Club at the Country Defense League. In 1946 he was awarded OPW2 for the general conduct during the WW2. So, Let's see what's in his folder: |

Re: lt. col. Казимир Негребецкий/Kazimierz Nehrebecki
And into the folder...
A smaller folder entitled "Service in the Soviet Army" and with dates contains his full military service record (also Polish) and some other papers. According to the list, there should be: His personnel file (missing, likely ended up in an archive); Letter from Skotnikov to Grekova (present, described later), luggage ticket (in the pension booklet); Pay book (present), Order booklet (missing), Tmp.certificate (missing, copy present), medal booklet (missing). Instead, there are: alegal copy of a service certification from the Polish MoND and a New Year's wishes from the KOR LOK. |

There's also a training map (shows fictional locations) from 1938 with some markings on it - not sure if that's the example he used during his teachings orif it's a work of one of his students, but interestingly, the map is printed on the back side of an imperial map from 1889.

Re: lt. col. Казимир Негребецкий/Kazimierz Nehrebecki
A letter from "Voennyi Vestnik" that was shown before:
"Dear Comrade Negerbeckiy! We have received Your letter. Unfortunately, we are unable to fulfill Your ask and send You "miniatures" of the orders and medals: in the Soviet Union it is not a custom to wear such "miniatures" and thus they are notbeing made. To receive a badge for those, who have graduated from military school, It would be best to ask directly the headmaster of the school at address: Odessa 39, Odessa Awarded with OL Artillery School n.a. M.V. Frunze. We will also notify the headmaster of the school of Your ask." A letter from the HR department ofthe military unit 93220 (probably the school): "Dear Comrade Negrebeckiy! On February the 4th this Year we have received a notice from the redaction of "Voennyi Vestnik" Journal, where Your ask for sending a badge was made. For fulfilling the documents correctly, the information about graduation is neccessary, of which we have informed the central State Archive of hte Soviet Army. After receiving an answer from the archive, You will be sent the badge with it's document." A letter from colonel Skotnikov of the HR dpt.of the MoAF of the USSR to Olga Dmitrievna Grekova (Negrebetskaya) - probably an ex-wife. Second time I ask to contact the main HR dpt. of the AF about Your relationship with Negrebetskiy Kazimir Stanislavovich and also if Your daughter Galina plans to go to him and if ou recieve now any material help from him." This was probably neccessary for his citizenship change in 1949 - it was usually hard for Soviet citizens to get Polish citizenship. |

Re: lt. col. Казимир Негребецкий/Kazimierz Nehrebecki
Soldier's Friends League - a certificate of Work - states that Nehrebecki worked as the head of the Training Section in the Socio-Political Dpt.
A letter from the same organisation stating that upon his own request he, the contract was ceased and that he is to be given at disposal of HR dpt. of the MoND. A PZPR diploma granting him a status of a meritous activist of the workersmovement. |
