Short description of personal combat feat or accomplishment
During the Battle of Sevastopol, Comrade Smaglii detected and painstakingly conducted a reconnaissance of the following firing positions hindering our forces’ advance: two mortar batteries, 4 heavy machineguns, 2 anti-tank guns that were firing on tanks accompanying our infantry.
By Comrade Smaglii’s capable target designation, the anti-tank guns were destroyed by our artillery which enabled our attached tanks to suppress the remaining enemy firing positions and thus support our accompanying infantry’s mission accomplishment.
Comrade Smaglii is deserving of the Order of Glory III Class.
