Badge "Georgian Republic Aviation".

This one is my all-time favorite aviation badge. The letters across the top say Sak. Resp. Aviation -- Sakartvelo (Georgia) Republic Aviation. Georgia was an independent nation only from 1918 to 1921 and they couldn't have had many planes in those days. The Soviets did their best to eliminate all history of their independence, and were so successful that many Georgians today don't know that there was a period of independence.

I've never seen this one in a catalog and I don't expect to. The details on this badge are incredible. For instance, you can see the pilot's hand on the control stick. You can even see the ribs under the fabric on the tail section. It must have taken a real master to make this one.

Enjoy.
