Date on reverse
Does the date 1813 have something to do with the "motto".
This date was in the Napoleonic war e.g. August 23: Battle of Grossbeeren - Prussians under Von Bulow repulse French October 16: Battle of Leipzig (Napoleon vs Prussia, Austria and Russia). What 1813 has to do with 1941 though is not clear. Perhaps both as dates of bloody invasions/battles? Simon Last edited by UQWozza; 02-18-2008 at 07:53 AM. Reason: Clarity |
