It looks like a good candidate for being real. It has an enamel rather than a paint and although the pictures don't give too much away it also seems to be contoured. It's a shame the pin is broken but it doesn't look as "fake" as many of fakes of this badge I have seen which have been flat and painted.

Here's the common fake. Notice the "usual" fake pin type.

Thanks....well that's a little reassuring. I can vouch for the contour it's nice rounded enamel.
