I agree with Slava about the OG2 - it just doesn't look right to me.

Ref post #708 above. Clearly, the person who purchased it for $7,200.00 on December 8th, 2013 is not a member of this forum.

Sold on the well-known auction site for $1,125.00 within the past few days. The interesting point is that its s/n corresponds to an OGII awarded to a Full Cavalier. While the s/n engraving itself looks legit, the images are simply too poor to make a definitive call. My sense, however, is that this is a doctored OGIII.

If i'm correct, in 1995 wasn't this award listed as unissued?

Perhaps someone made the award in the knowledge that it had no attributed awardee?

Perhaps this is the real 2174 with no owner to speak of :)?

Obviously, I have posted them to provoke a discussion. ;) So let's wait for other members to voice their opinions.

Please not that the serial numbers are different - 2175 is a piece I had authenticated some time ago, and 2174 was e-mailed to me a couple of days ago. Sorry for the confusion.

Hi Alexei,

I have not many experience with that pieces. But to me is looks not good.
The tower looks different as the two versions I know.

Also in the red ribbon enemal are some littledetails missing.

So my conclusion is, this piece is bad.
