Actually, the ones in this scan look a little different also.

The ones with yellow-blue colors on the suspension is from Ukraine (hence the writing in Ukrainian).

Russian federation awards have red-blue enamel on the suspension.

I am sure I have the docs somewhere - let me find the pics and post them.

I am not normally into miner awards, but I've always thought these looked pretty neat. This set is for sale with not much info other than "Ukraine Miner Medals" which is not very helpful.

Is this set of post-1991 badges or have they always looked like this? I ask for two reasons: 1) they are practically in mint condition and 2) if they are post-Soviet, not much was done to make them distinguishable from their predecessors in terms of symbolism (big stars and crossed tools). However, I think the blue and gold on the suspensions are Ukraine's national colors.

I don't know has the Ukraine such kind of official awards but:

1. the scripts on the badges is in Ukrainian language
2. On soviet ones the ribbons were in different colour


If we don't find answer soon, I can ask in Ukrainian forum ;)
