Re: Red Banner Of Labour.
RedMaestro,
ORBL 309657 was awarded on September 6, 1954 310385 on September 24, 1954 313846 on August 28, 1954 321129 on November 5, 1954 So, it sounds pretty right to estimate 1954 as date of award. Marc |

Re: Red Banner Of Labour.
I think communicating with the people writing the textbooks is usually the way to go.

Re: Red Banner Of Labour.
You certainly can try! It never hurts to try.
There are a great many of active and inactive forum members who have had articles, papers and books published on the subject of awards and related history. I had an article published a year ago on the subject of awards and have done lectures on them too (It is difficult to talk for ONLY 45 minutes). There are also a few of us who put awards from our collections on public display too. You'll find that this forum is probably the best medium to find other enthusiasts who are active in doing a little bit more with awards than just hiding them away in boxes or drawers. I'm working on a few projects at the moment and I know others are too. Right now I am more in the stage of "collection of items and information" so it may be some time before any big developments occur but they will with time. It takes a back seat to renovation work to the forum. Here is a great place to "publish" images of your items without having to go to all the effort of writing a book and finding a publisher. Then we can all enjoy the items. This thread seems to be the place to be if you like Red Banners Of Labour.
