Furry shoulderboards?
Just saw these on eBay, they look like they are fur covered... ("furry")
Home made "I leave the army now, look at me!" manufacture? /Patrik |

Definately a weird one there!
The blue would suggest cavalry as it is not KGB as the initaials are wrong, however I suspect that this is a fantasy piece. Mind you, the fur used on these was common in Russia and I have several DEMBEL photograph albums from both army and navy that are covered in this type of material. The metal "S A" initals also point to a DEMBEL piece but I would err on the side of caution with these and leave them alone.

Unless they are supposed to be airforce? (Even though the color is a bit too dark).
I am not about to buy these, I am just curious. There is no use buying shoulderboards from the other side of earth (USA) when I can get a pile of them from Tallinna just 1 hour away... ;) /Patrik |

Too me they look like they are made of (or covered in) grey ushanka (winter hat) "fur".
I think they are a kind of funny dembel set. Worth picking up as a joke if not too much. Shawn |
