Engineer Severin Iliev Popov.

Popov was a lifetime civil constructor and was still employed by the Bulgarian government well into the 21st century. His awards run from 1957 to 1985 and there in not a single military award included indicating that he was never a military man. He was not just restrained to construction in Bulgaria as he was also sent to the Soviet Union to assist in the construction of the "Union" pipeline.

Popov's "Techincal Contribution" will definitely be in construction. He will have also aided in the construction of sporting arenas in Sofia in the late 1960's.

Popov continued his "excellent" work for the ministry even though it went under name changes.

Popov received his second Gold Class Order Of Labour soon after it dropped the "National" prefix. The "30th Anniversary Of Construction Troops" indicates just how this engineer served the People's Republic.

Whilst constructing in both Bulgaria and the Soviet Union Engineer Popov still had time to donate blood (A resource in high demand if you are damaged in a construction accident).

Popov received his first "Red Banner Of Labour" at the end of a busy decade of international construction as show with the Executive Committee Of The Council Of Mutual Economic Assistance Medal "For Construction Of The Gas Pipeline "Union"".

Popov's Jubilee Medals were most likely awarded to him for merit in constructing Sofia.

Popov alike nearly all civil servants military or otherwise, was subjected to Commemorative Medals that were commonplace under Zhivkov.
