On behalf of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet USSR, I award the Bravery Medal to:

34. 1 Rifle Company Submachinegunner Private Peter Nikitovich Mech, who on 20.04.1945 in
Combat for the village of Markendorf killed nine German soldiers with his weapon and repelled
Three enemy counterattacks.

b. 1908, Ukrainian, non-party member. Inducted by the Tavikovskii Regional Military Commissariat, Lvov Oblast in August 1944. In the Patriotic War since October 1944. No wounds or previous decorations. Wife – Mariya Iosifovna Mekh living in Lvov Oblast, Pavikovskii Region, village of Estva.
