Could you help me on Suvorov orders, what is your opinion, are they fake ones?

Both look like var2, but can second be var2 because of high order No?
also back metal structure looks different on both.

They are.
The odds are that finding a real one "out of the woodwork" and/or for a cheap price are astronomically high. If you got money and want one buy from a good dealer and pay the price. If you don't have money (like me) just dream about getting one.


But by the same token do your homework as once in a blue moon a great deal will come up. If you know what you're looking for, and utilize the myriad internet resources correctly, you can become a savy collector. :cool:

I think this one is a fake concerning the uneven dots on the obverse, crude serial number, straight mint mark and generally lacking detail. Thank you and with best regards,

This was bought 25 years ago in Russia, and the person who bought it did not pay a lot of money for it. To me it looks obviously fake, because I have never seen another Suvorov that looks like this one. (I've been looking for about 3 days now, so someone with a little more experience maybe has seen one that looks like this.)

Anyways, I think it's odd to find it with all these other medals that I have, since the entire collection of 40 or so pieces probably cost less than $100 to purchase in the mid-80's. These were being bought along with all sorts of other stuff, and the buyer was not discerning. So, why fake a Suvorov at all if you're just going to sell it for a few bucks on the street? Maybe it was an attempt at a fake that someone gave up on and just gave away, more or less. I have no idea.

I have dozens of other pieces to photograph, but this one I figured I'd submit now since it's a bit more interesting than the others.
