Freedom Medal.
Afghanistan Freedom Medal
I assume this is the one in question. Not on a pentagonal suspension in this case. Apparently the medal was created by Presidential decree in 2006 by the Afghanistan government. The medal was to be issued to the troops from all countries, and not just the US, for the support of Afghan freedom. While 40 medals were issued, the project was stopped.
