All that research can confirm is that a specific order or medal was awarded to a specific someone for some specific reason (lots of specificities here ;)). It is not related in any way to the genuineness of the said award.

Of course, it applies to all awards. If I fake a medal, put a serial number on it and research that serial number I will have research documents, but these are in no way related to the medal. To have absolute certainty about whether or not your order is original, you should have the order authenticated by somebody like Alexei.

In this case, your order happens to be original, don't worry. But remember, for future reference, that research is NOT a guaranty as to genuineness of the piece.
