Here is the Jubilee Medal "20 Years Of The Repulse Of Armed Aggression By Defenders Of The Independence Of PMR" celebrating two decades of the end of the Transnistrian War (1992-2012), the post-Soviet conflict between Transnistria (supported by Russia and Ukraine) and Moldova (supported by Romania).

I was offered one of those several weeks back but chose to pass on it because I just couldn't get past the figure on the obverse side; looks like a deity to me. Gives me the "willies". I guess I have to work on that...

It's not very clear what it is, or what sex it is supposed to be. It looks like a crude carving to me. I wonder how many of these will be worn with the text exposed.
