Polish Orders and Medals by Wojciech Stela

A book was published in 2008 (according to some sources), but apparently it lacks the proper marketing.
Anyway, a very good reference - good quality pictures, lots of archival documents. Very little text, but in four languages.
So far, I only have the volume one, but I plan on getting vol.2 soon.
Currently available directly from the author for ~40USD (vol.1) ~50USD (vol.2).
Hard cover, colour photographs.

Second Volume in my possesion, bought straight from the author. This one covers the years 1946-1992 and also mentions polish-made awards for Albania.

All non-directly-award-related information in the book (like general history, organisations history etc) is not very accurate, but lots of scanned documents and high quality photographs of numerous vaniarions of the awards as well as photographs of the awards in actual wear make this book worth more than it costs. Doesn'tof course cover all the awards of the era, but does cover the most important state, ministerial and some organisational awards.

Hard cover 638 pages (mostly photographs, some text, few adverisements). Got my copy for ~50USD + shipment.

I can't resist remarking that the author made a spelling error on the cover...

A great piece of work about a complex and sometimes anarchic field - the private fabrications in polish phalrestics are legions.... W. Stella is also a real gentleman.

Edit: OK, I You meant the first volume, Russian title. Actually it wasn't the author who translated it to Russian, but it is true that spelling errors are omnipresent in vol. 1. Vol 2is far better in this aspect, altough far from error-free

Could you elaborate a bit more on the info given on albanian awards?

Is it worth buying the book just for that if you are an albanian collector?

Not worth it. Shows only 2 Albanian orders of Polish Manufacture that, I am sure, can be found in some more albanian-concentrated work.
