Re: Medal "For Combat Merits".

Awarded to Nikolaj Konstantinovich Bas'ko on 16th February 1955. Most probably for 10 years service and also probably the "complete group".

Re: Medal "For Combat Merits".

Was it possible to receive more than one combat merits medal for the same person during WWII?

You could receive as many as deserving. For "combat" at Hasan, against Finland, during the Great Patriotic War, against Japan and also in 1944-45 for 10 years long service. You could receive them all for distinction or one for long service and additional ones for distinction.

Here is a pair to a Partisan that received both of them for tailoring.

It's like almost all the awards for distinction of the time. The Orders (except Glory) and non-Campaign Medals could be awarded repeatedly. Even the Glories accidentally got awarded repeatedly in the same grade from time to time and campaign Medals accidentally awarded more than once.

Re: Medal Booklets

And Combact Service, even in this case the translation of the name would be appreciated.

Re: Medal "For Combat Merits".

Ponamorev, Semen Dmitrievich by Ukaz of 17th February 1972. Without looking it sounds like a wounds award.

Re: Medal "For Combat Merits".

I checked and 17th February 1972 is a "For Wounds" decree, although not one of the most extensive list of recipients.
