Fake Medals "For Bravery"

I'm going to keep my nose out of the early bravery medals themselves until I brush up on details history, but that document is the kind that makes me nervous. It is either completely a genuine (mess), or somebody didn't do such a great job in "washing" and "drying" the inks.

Norm, don't feel too bad - I was so focused on the metal itself and all of that "funky cold patina" that I didn't even notice the serial number.:o

the document of my bravery medal is originial and not messed up (post329 and 330). What I meant was, that the serial number on the bravery medal itself was removed and a new serial number on the bravery medal was stamped to fit with the entries of the award book.

At a miminum, the suspension and suspension ring are bad.

Thanks Desantik--I thought as much. :) Also there's red enamel "dripping down" in the CCCP on the medal, likely added later. Could've been done by the veteran too, who knows.
