Re: Fake Orders of October Revolution

I was just fooling around with my camera and lighting tonight and I found this very strange....thing... on my OR. It looks like three stripes in the upper left corner of the flag. To me it could be a deliberate mark of some sort. But why? Obvisously I checked Mondvor and found no such 'variation'.
Serial number 45,898.
Any ideas what this might be? With my magnifier it looks very well to be something under the enamel.

Re: Fake Orders of October Revolution

Peculiar, but I think it may just be tool marks or something that happened during the process of making the bed for the enamel. I don't think it makes it a fake or was of a sufficient run to merit a "variation." It is likely one of a kind.

Just my opinion,
Phillip

Eric, interesting find. Probably a pre-production or production process glitch, either passed over by the mint inspector or allowed to ride since it was buried under the enamel. It's nothing to lose sleep over.

Thanks, fellas. I wasn't too worried, just found it peculiar.
