Katukov, Khrushchev, and Friends

This is a great original photo that actually came with a Katukov uniform many years ago...shows him as a Colonel General on far left, with Khrushchev in the middle. I am a bit curious who the three other gentlemen are...the large Major General to the left of Katukov might be Major General Popel, but that's more of a guess. I am most interested in who the civilian is next to Khrushchev. Any ideas?

Yes, he seems to have a Supreme Soviet badge on his jacket.

I know fashion trends change, but I wish the Soviets had kept these uniforms and especially the caps. Those "halos" they wore in the late 1980s and apparently still wear may look fine on Patrick, but otherwise, they just make a good target for bird droppings or act as an umbrella - rain, shine or snow.:chuckle
