Badge "For Excellent Shooting 1921".

This badge was awarded to students of Naval Shooting School who exhibited high markmanship in target practice. The badge is made in the shape of a life-buoy. The upper part of the buoy is inscribed "For Excellent Marksmanship" and the bottom, covered with red enamel "M. CT. Sh." (Naval Shooting School). The buoy is crossed with rifes. At the center, there is enameled red star with hammer and sickle. There is a scroll above the buoy with two anchors and date "1923." Naval Shooting School was one of elite regiments loyal to the new Communist government and sent over the frozen Baltic to pacify the famous Kronstadt Sailors rebellion of 1921.
