Short, concrete description of the personal combat feat or merits:

On March 6, 1944, during the fighting near the village of Rubany Most, the enemy, consisting of up to a company of infantry, proceeded to the counterattack, attempting to intercept our attacking units.

Senior Sergeant Chukhran, the commander of an artillery piece, was with his gun and fired using direct lay at enemy tanks from close distance. His gun put 2 tanks out of action, after which it killed up to 20 enemy soldiers using direct lay, in this manner beating off 2 counterattacks and aiding in the advance of our attacking infantry and the seizing of the village of Rubany Most.

For displayed courage and heroism he deserves the Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd Class.
