60th Anniversary Of The Korean People's Army Award Watch.

Here is the DPRK award watch celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Korean People's Army. Although the watch is dated 1992.4.25 the clockwork 19 jewel mechanism was made by the Shanghai Watch Company in 1991 (obviously produced to an order expecting the celebration). The reverse of these watches were engraved "locally" and to such a poor standard that the engravings easy worked out with every day use. Photographing the engraving on the reverse of this particular watch would be redundant as it has all but totally disappeared. After extensive examination the only 3 letter cluster I can make out on this watch is "인" which is not very helpful. These watches are faked. The fake watches do not contain Shanghai Watch Company movements and also the face is glossy, both of those factors are not to be ignored. This watch has had a hard life as someone has tried to force open the back with a crude tool causing damage, it has also been submerged in water (although it is not waterproof it still works) and was absolutely caked in dirt when it came to me. The glass is also scratched but knowing that this item is an award that is supposed to be used every day and whilst labouring it is a very nice used DPRK item which has seen use in the correct fashion. I have also been wearing it on occasion and I can't complain.
