A Guard 2nd Lieutenant Service Tunic
Eddie,
I agree. Let's stick with the Military Merit above the commemorative. As far as I can tell the collar tabs are the only thing that may be wrong. Tang Si...Help Please!!! Best, Doc |

shoulder boards
The officer collar tabs are sewn on the wrong way up!!!!! The rank insignia should be at the bottom :)

Wow!!! I didn't imagine this thread will be so hot!! I am sorry that I delayed reply, because when you are discussing it, I am sleeping:(
Eddie is a wonderful expert. Yes, the biggest mistake is the collar tabs, it is up side down. And all orders and medals are right according to his words. I just make a joke with us:) There is little reference about North Korea militaria, even in China, we have many questions about the orders, uniforms and other militaria. 60 Foundation. Here is the picture about the medal and ribbon. Tang Si These orders are to be awarded to Eddie, Doc and Esteban::D Last edited by CtahhR; 02-13-2012 at 08:18 PM. |

I find it strange that there would not be any order of precedence in North Korea. The fact that the country awarded military and civilian medals is of little relevance to it; almost every other country on earth also awards different types of awards, yet they all have an order of precedence. It is one thing to say that we do not know, but quite a giant leap to propose that there is no order of precedence in North Korea. Just my 19.1531 Won (at today's exchange rate) :D Marc |

That is right. We don't know the exact precedence of North Korea orders and medals. And even they are establishing new orders as the day past. In the past, Gold Star is the highest order, but now it is Kim Il Sung.:( Tang Si |

Tang Si,
It is normal that the Oreder of Precedence changes as new orders and medals are created and sometimes old ones are phased-out. It is not something set forever in concrete. As such, an Order of Precedence should carry a date. Marc |
