Ssh40 Helmet GPW Or Postwar?

Hi, I ask you about this helmet,
Internally it has find all the war, but lacks the stamp identification.

The interior looks good and I think the colour while the belt is the classic fabric.
As you can see it also has a darker paint stands for re-use.
The only visible mark is imprinted in the last picture, I did not open the inside to see the ball well
but are filled with a species of cotton.

I think it could be a war Ssh40 subsequently reused by a Warsaw Pact countries.
What do you think?

My opinion post war.
Possible not soviet because chinstrap.

I think it's ww2 and then reconditioned by another state,
perhaps also changed chinstrap. But I do not know ..
I think this also for the star that seems low visibility during the war.
What do you say?
We can say with certainty from the star and the serial number?

I don't think it's Czechoslovakia or Bulgaria but that still leaves a lot of Armies.
Pick a name out of a helmet?

Patience but I know good Italian ww1 ww2 daggers and bayonets ..

Thanks CtahhR, I know of what we speak .. We have sent the CSIR Italian Expeditionary Corps in Russia that has suffered many losses, also called ARMIR Italian Army in Russia.
We do not use the acronym GPW in Italy. If we talk about the Soviet militaria define soviet ww2.
