I have some concern about this recently bought order.
Weight is 40.11 g, 50 mm wide, 51.5 mm high.
Any idea?

Weight and measurement to be correct, I'd like to see the Order in natural light.
But many things are not going well... the metal mesh of the helmet, for example, so I tend to say that I do not like.

The Curls underneath the Helmet chain mail also look off.

I agree with Marsino.

Re: Fake Orders of Nevsky

I agree, please take better photos..

Here are photos of one in my collection that's also in the 38K range and an authentic Nevsky to a machinegunner Lieutenant.
The serial number handwriting and the mint stamp, among other elements, seem to differ on your piece.

@kwambr: The overweight patina in some "strange" areas also alarms me - if I were you, I would definately leave it out ! :(

And another one for discussion:

Enamel fully "replaced" on all five rays of the star ? YES !

Heavily worn "in battle" ? YES !

...but genuine indeed !?

(I know that at least two images are of extremely bad quality - but nevertheless maybe someone recognizes a "watermark")

And a further one... any opinion would be helpful here !

Re: Estate Find Need Help

Can you tell me why? The owner of these metals was a geologist who spent time in USSR where these were acquired. His father the original owner was born in USSR I am pretty sure of the history of the items. I have other times including several propaganda posters form USSR I purchased from the estate.

Re: Fake Orders of Nevsky

Hi WBY and welcome to the forum!

At the first glimpse, I would say that the Nevskij definately is a fake. But to tell you something really useful, closeup - images of obverse and reverse (without the screwing plate, of course) are needed!

With kind regards,

Jens
