If it's the guy who's name begins with "L" (how cryptic is that?), he's showing some now with white around the star (Soviet style) and unit designations in the lower "shape". Nice looking badges, at least in the photos, but one has to wonder, with all the badges he sells for both Russia and Belarus, which are official and which are unofficial. And then I remember reading on a forum- can't remember if it was this one or not- where one contributor from that part of the world said that if you point out that the badge being worn by a group was not regulation, the commander of that group would "throw fingers". I guess that means the two finger equivalent of the great American flip-off. Come to think of it, when I was in the Navy (Far East), we wore plenty on non-regulation items day to day- "team" building/pride in unit kinds of things... never to formal inspections, though.

The Belarusian army allows unit designations on the scroll at the bottom of the badge. I'll have to get some pictures up of my collection in the morning, but needless to say there's quite a few non official awards amongst them too such as for the Union Shield joint ops with Russia.
