Short description of personal combat feat or accomplishment

In 1943 while in the 147 Rifle Regiment, 2 Rifle Division, Corporal Vasilii Mikhailovich Engibarov actively participated in the Patriotic War on the Stalingrad Front, where on 8 January 1943 during an attack in the city of Stalingrad, he received shrapnel wounds in the left and right hands with damage to the 2, 3, and 4 fingers of both hands.

According to testimony, his wounds were verified by medical evaluation 3e #1141 issued by Evacuation Hospital #3631.

While serving on the labor front as a security guard in a collective farm, Comrade Engibarov has been active in Soviet and Party organizations and has received positive work evaluations.

He is deserving of the Bravery Medal.

2,3,4 fingers are not the ones you want to be damaged but both hands is even greater disadvantage. It is nice to see that such a wound was quickly recognised as deserving.
