Badge "Czechoslovak Partisan".

Few days ago I got lucky and picked up this beautiful award of the Czech partisan star for funny price of 20eur. The informations I gained about this order till now are: It was most probably made in Mincovna Kremnica in 1946, ranked 45. on the list of Czech decorations. It was awarded to anyone who had an acknowledged status of the partisan (those who fought in the battles), 24.000 awarded and it is something similiar to Yugoslavian Partisan spomenica 1941. It was also awarded to some of the Yugoslav partisans who were cooperating in Czech partisan formations.

Please add some more informatons about this order. I'd be glad to know how many Yugoslav partisans got awarded with this decoration and what is the difference between variations which have serial numbers on the back and those who don't? Thank you!

Re: Odznak ceskoslovenského partyzána

Hello and a warm welcome to our corner of the WWW Komandant Stane :)
The Mincovna Kremnica indeed produced these badges in 1946, the original dies still exit today. It was awarded with a miniature in a box.
I will see what else I can find on this badge for you.

Below is the Numbered version of this award and boxed with the miniature

Please post Images of your badge as soon as possible in your above post, part of forum policy is no external links to image hosting sites. The simple reason is these can be lost rendering many informative threads useless. Thanks in advance.

A very nice badge too :thumbsup

It is most probable that the numbered one is the earlier version of this award.

Are you implying these are still being made and sold as originals?

I'll also add to the discussion that these were probably awarded to not just Czechs, but also other nationalities at a minimum Soviets.

Hi Paul,

No evidence of that at the moment, an inquiry was made to the mint about this badge, after a few days the reply came, about 1,6 mill various badges were made around that time period including this one and that during the research at the mint they found the original dies.

Regards Eddie.

You mean they made 1.6 MILLION of these badges? How many Czech partisans could there be?!

Re: Odznak ceskoslovenského partyzána

He wanted to say that factory Mincovna Kremnica is still operating today and not that they are making these badges now. There were 24000 of these partisan badges made. The number 1.6mil goes for all the badges that factory made, not only these partisan badges.

Czech Partisan Star

Picked this pair up recently. Anyone know what the requirements were to obtain this? How common is it? Value?
