Fake Labour Medals

The reverse surface looks a little bit strange?

Were these medals good or not, finally? Beside the suspension, too difficult to me to judge, I do not see any obvious sign they are counterfeits.

Greets. Bear with me as this is my first post to you.
What does everyone think of attached photos of Labor Valour medal.

I'm very leery of this but haven't found info on it on Mondvor or other forums. I've seen the 'black serial number' before but can't place where. Suspension looks wrong and medal too pristine.

Welcome, Canadian Collector! In my opinion, the medal and suspension appear to be genuine, although I suspect the black numbers were "value-added" at a later date.
