Dear Friends,

I want to post my Type1, Variation 1 Distinquished Labour medal. Unfortunately the suspension is later replacement. I'll also try my new 50 $ microsope ;)

Perhaps you could mount it onto a 5-sided brass suspension to make it conform with later awards?

I just received this great booklet from Paul Schmitt! It is the first Labor document I have for my collection. I matched it up with a medal I had floating around.

Medal for Distinguished Labor, type 2, var. 2 - unnumbered

Awarded in 1957 to Rukia Abidova, Interesting in part due to the scribbles on the reverse of the ribbon. Any insights?

Medal Book (#004109) dated June 28th, 1939 for the Medal for Distinguished Labor, #3959, issued to Turgun Usmanov issued June 1, 1939. Usmanov was listed as #1032 along with several thousand-other village school teacher recipients in a Supreme Soviet awarding edict dated May 4th, 1939. Usmanov was from the Al-Daryn Region of Uzbekistan, near Samarkand.
