Here's oneof mine.
Your one is without any doubt orignal. The lining is correct...I have two of these (the other one is a KGB uniform) and the lining is identical on both.
The fact that it smelt bad when you bought it is good too (depending which way you look at it! :D ) I have bought some uniforms and they did smell really bad but they were definately original.
As mentioned, your shoulderboards should be repositioned but also the stars are wrong. They should made from brass, as this was gradually replaced by aluminium in the early 1960s.
The "naval" wreaths are correct too as are the collar devices (which are made from brass).
Again, as mentioned the medals are wrong but you know what to change here.
Also, the tie should be steel grey and NOT black. This is a common misconception on these uniforms.

Thank you Vikingraider. The tie and shirt were not included with the uniform: the shirt is from my school uniform; the tie is from...I don´t know, but it is not soviet. It has been so much time here in my house that it´s almost mine, displaying it on the uniform when my friends come, being impressed with my poor collection...
And as I said before, it´s not so easy for me to get good medals or orders.

Esteban,

The boards do not look good. Not just wrong place but too short, too new looking as are the star which should be brass at this tme and not aluminum.

The rest of the tunic looks good and you got a great price even if the boards are newer. Move them back a bit and it will look good.

Are there brass laurel leaves on the cuffs too?

Yes, there are those leaves on the cuffs. both of them, and the collar leaves are from brass. I forgot to photograph them.
And with the boards affair, I´ll ask someone to sew them again.
(the laundry story on the other message... )
