Thank you Alexei :thumbsup I am glad my instinct on this badge was correct. It was just my friend put the doubt in my mind selling it cheap and his experience with Soviet awards far exceeds mine.

I now need to find an excellent machine gunners badge.

Another injection of 'mint restikes' on e@@y. I do not have one of those and being somewhat partial to food (:o) I am keeping an eye on badges of this kind but all I see is 'restikes.

It's a genuine badge and a rare variation with six dots on the circle and no bayo on the left rifle.
