Black uniform with red piping

Who can tell me what this is.

It is a uniform with a navy like look.
It has double breasted buttons with 3 lions on it.

has red piping on the cuffs and collar.

See pictures although they are not of very great quality.

The lions on the buttons have a British look.

i did find the buttons to look like english ones indeed.

the seller tels me he bought the uniform a few years ago in Tallin, Estonia.
who knows his story is true.

the shoulder boards are soviet looking atleast.
its weird there is no collar insignia.

i asked for pictures of labels and marks.
maybe if i get them that shine's a brighter light on this one.:idea

i'm very interested because i poses a cap that has red piping and black top.
i guess that could go with this uniform.

who can put a light on it.

The "three lion" insignia is the Republic of Estonia state seal.

Estonian Coastal Forces Major? Really odd! Interesting, hope we can nail it down...Tretov is our best bet on this one.

Yep, Patrik definitely nailed this one. I knew the lions were familiar somehow... I should have remembered my numismatics days :o

Could equally well be an Estonian railways clerk or something. Not sure in what extent Estonia kept the coastal artillery from Soviet era. The new Estonian republic did not really keep the Soviet look on their military uniforms either. While the shoulder boards shown are clearly Soviet naval infantry or coastal defense and do match pipingwise, I doubt they belong to this tunic.

I will check with my colleague in Tallinn if he reckon it.
