Here is an unnumbered Medal "For Combat Merits" of the Type that were mainly awarded for long service.

Presented For Awarding the Medal "For Combat Merits"
4. Year of birth. 1926
5. Nationality. Russian
6. Party Membership. VKLSM since 10th June 1944
7. Participation in the Patriotic War since 20th August 1944
8. Has been wounded, contused in Patriotic War. Not Had.
9. From which time in Workers' And Peasants' Red Army. From 17th November 1943.
10. Which Regional Military Commissariat called. Putilov, Somsk Oblast
11. Has received awards (for which distinction). Not Awarded

In battle with German-Fascist invaders on 20th October 1944 for the town of Serotsk showed bravery and valour. He was amongst the first to burst into the town and open fire on the enemy where he destroyed 6 German soldiers. He thereby made the way for further feats of the rest of the fighters.

Insisting on awarding Guards Private Chervetsov, A. I. the Medal "For Combat Merits"

Serock, Poland was completely pounded by Katjusha rockets prior to the Soviet push. The town was on the front until late December 1944.
