Pogoni Of High Rank Naval Men

I share with the Gentlemen of the forum two photos and my findings about them up to this date. Please, and thank you I would appreciate any more information to assist me to make most learned information available.

As of 1944 there was a few times of transition of insignia examples. I believe that titles names changed to coincide, and were accepted by men of such as provided.

Four stars- Admiral Of Navy (Early summer 1944)

One large star- Marshal Of Navy (Middle 1944)

One large star and Seal of Soviet Union- Marshal Of Fleet (Late 1944 forward)

Photo of white tunic is model of 1943 with the first example, Admiral Of Navy pogoni.

Second photo shows other examples in order of time. Marshal of Navy pogoni was put on 1940 model tunic and Marshal of Fleet that was also for later 1944time on same-same.

I have also discovered that other variations during future times (in 1950r + also) show that Admiral of Fleet pogoni had continents on a water of the globe. Marshal of Soviet Union pogoni had water only.

boards

Great shots! I am not sure the 'large star' was ever actually used though.

Here is a shot of Admiral Yumashevs boards on his M1945 uniform.
