Malov, Nikolaj Mihajlovich, Starshina Of Extended Service, 3rd Moto-Rifle Battalion

Would there be any chance that these two Malovs would be the same person? I have Malov's 3 long service awards and two other commemorative Medals in the collection.

There's no way to know for sure, but it's possible. They could have added his 1954 CMM to the booklet for his 1944 BM, but the fact that they didn't isn't necessarily a red flag.

Actually, there is a way to know: you need to order the Uchetnaya Karta for either the Courage or the Military Merit medal. It lists all the awards received, their serial number, the prikaz/ukaz number for their awarding and the order booklet serial number. After that, you just have to see if things match...
