Fake Orders of the Red Banner

The base piece seems to be original, but the serial number isn't. This probably was a Moscow Mint order with a 200K serial number (Strekalov type 4, variation 2.3). The mint mark seems to be original, while the area south of that (including the flagpole and torch tips) was sandblasted.

Thanks Auke! It's a pity they removed that number. According to the seller it was done at least 25 years ago since the order was in his family for that period. I guess they started ruining orders long before that...

Any help on post 946-7?

Both the RB in post #946 and the RB in post 947-8 seem to be original.

Hello! This post is just for my education: I have never noted such "D" in "DVOR" in original Red Banners. What is your opinion on this one? It is offered as part of a documented group where the soldier got a CS in 1946, an ORS in 1951 and this ORB in 1954 for long service.

Looks okay to me. In this serial number range I noticed a few different "D".

Not really an issue of the RB in the pictures being fake or not (though the seller on the, uhem, well known action site is notorious for selling expensive fakes IMO), my question is the hanger. Has anyone seen this kind of suspension adaptation elsewhere?
