Re: Fake Orders of Lenin
Hello again,
IF the order is genuine, how much should my friend pay for it concerning the enamel damage, etc. ? I have absolutely no idea and he desperately needs help to estimate a fair price. Jens |

Re: Fake Orders of Lenin
Ah yes, I see it now. According to the Red Book the rivets, and the accent mark, are wildly missplaced. Maybe I'm referring with obsolete material but with what we're given I'm claiming a ten foot pole on this one (id est :thumbsdown ).

Re: Fake Orders of Lenin
Hi,
my friend is going to ask the seller for better images. If he refuses, he will pass this one. Jens |

Re: Fake Orders of Lenin
*Beginners opinion/guess*
To me it looks a bit like there is a silver/grey metal surrounding the screwpost on the reverse, kind of like solder. Also, the rivet on the bottom of the far left side seems to be in line with the "E" of the Mint Mark, whereas on all the pictures i can see of T3 V2 Lenins (the one i think this closest resembles) the rivet is not in line with the "E" (The only time it seems to line up with the "E" is on some variations of Suspension T4's Here is some pics to explain better what i mean. Lenin in question.JPG Real T3 V2.jpg I would hazard a guess at a converted suspension piece at best. This is just my beginners opinion though, lets wait for the experts :-). Tom |

Re: Fake Orders of Lenin
No experts here, sorry, just more or less experienced collectors. . .
If I have any doubts about a piece, I pass, and I have a lot of doubts about this piece. . . |

Re: Fake Orders of Lenin
I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole :thumbsdown :thumbsdown :thumbsdown
The scratches and loss of patina around the serial number suggest to me that it has been played around with. I also agree that it looks converted or poorly repaired at best. Simon |

Re: Fake Orders of Lenin
If you can get it for €10 or 20 go for it.
