Re: Glory.
I like them both. Have you thought about having these Orders of Glory researched?

Re: Glory.
If you want some very reasonably priced research give me a nudge. If you'll sell me a Glory III for thrice the price of the research I'll take them all!

Re: Glory.
Reading in the Schmitt/McDaniel book, what was the reason for the border reverse on the OoG?

Re: Glory.
The Border Reverse variations were, as I understand it, of early manufacture. See here: http://www.mondvor.narod.ru/OSlava.html.

Re: Glory.
As most know I offer research and translation services and through that (and collecting) come across thousands of citations.
Today I came across a Glory III that was awarded for an action not in the face of the enemy. No threat to life. In fact it was for servicing one vehicle on a poor road and another at night. Absolutely no mention at all of any threat from an enemy. The recipient went out of his way to fix the vehicles (walking to the second with the needed part and went without sleep for the night) but that's not very "glorious". Not common but certainly not as exciting a citation as one would expect to get with this award.

The 4 Orders of Glory of Dmitry Timofeevich Cherneev
Recipient of four Orders of Glory.
This does not seem to be very frequently seen. Récipients of 4 (four!) Orders of Glory. Due to technical or clerical errors, 87 people were awarded the Order of Glory four times. Only one person, Dmitry Iosifovich Kokhanovsky, got it five times. The list below is in cyrillic alphabet order, by surname : Список полных кавалеров ордена Славы, награждённых четырежды. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...rders_of_Glory Interesting is the story of Dmitry Timofeevich Cherneev. According to the list, he was awarded : Order of Glory III - #75200 - 3 August 1944 Order of Glory II - #8986 - 5 February 1945 Order of Glory II (again) - #46167 - 22 February 1945 Order of Glory I - #1800 - 15 May 1946 His story is narrated by his son in this article, published in 2015 : http://www.ap22.ru/paper/Kavaler-che...nov-Slavy.html Do you have 4 Orders of Glory set in your collection?
