That's a low S/N.

I always pay more for earlier pieces but that's just me.

Rusty.

Mark,

Your Glory is very nice. I got one for approx 60-70 USD (I bought it with some other stuff) and its condition is very bad. You did a good buy. Congratulations!

Esteban

The order didn't come with any documentation, so I didn't buy it. He claims it is a late 1943 award, which it could be I suppose. As Rusty indicated, its a fairly low serial number. $65 is a bit much here in the US.

Mark,

I am just curious as to why do you think it's not a WWII award. Condition? is the serial number hand etched, engraved with a rotating tool, or stamped?

Alexei

Bellow is the picture of this order of glory!

Thank you for your replies! :)

Danny,

Yes I intend to.

Unfortunatelly my first attempt of research for my ORB failed, our common friend started a second attempt... This one already took 3 months, now 3 more maybe :(

Hope it will be faster for this Glory 2nd.

Any hints?

Thanks,

Dolf

Research is a hit or miss.

I'll post the research on one of my "special" medals once it's done.

Rusty,

Yes it is.
The guy tells me that some of the dead-ends can be either because the Regimental or Divisional Archives were lost during the 41 retreats (according to him that's why it happens more often for early pieces) or because the recipient was on NKVD/KGB/Police, for which the Archives are still not open.

But 2 to 6 months is quite a lot of time!...

Good luck with yours,

Dolf
