Eduard Khil has passed away (4th of June)

This might seem a bit unimportant for some of you, but Eduard Khil has filled my childhood with joy and laugher, therefore I think it is important to address this, necessary or not.

Eduard Khil, a famous singer from the SSSR, died today, after suffering from a stroke, which created irreversible brain damage and coma.

Eduard Khil is probably known by most of the people born in the SSSR, but unfortunately he was kind of hushed away after year 2000.

He received Order For Merit to the Fatherland (Class IV), ORBL, Order of Friendship, the Lenin Komsomol Prize and awarded the title People's Artist of the RSFSR.

Oh what a sad new... he became a legend on the web with his "trololo" song.
RIP Eduard!

Internationally famous that is. He did a lot of great work within the SSSR.

He would probably have been very famous if it wasn't for the way the US disliked the SSSR.

A proper talent.

My respects to the Trololo Man. He was still as joyful and happy as during his career, and particularly glad to know his song became viral on the Internet. He even taught his song via webcam to some of his fans. Not too many artists do that.

He was, literally, the People's Artist, haha!

He was a good chap. I hope the RF will provide a proper state funeral with some sort of statue or memorial.

I heard this famous song before but I had no idea who or where it came from..liked the song, it was upbeat and fun.
