Military Police Helmet.
I am trying to determine the differences between the types of Cold War era Hungarian Military Police helmets.
First, the number of bands seem to denote level; division, regiment, etc. I might be totally off on that so I'd like to hear more about it. Also, why the different letters? F- FORGALOMSZABALYZO and KR-KATONI RENDESZ (excuse me if my Hungarian is off!)...did they have different responsibilities? |

Re: Hungarian Military Police
FORGALOMSZABALYZO= Traffic Control Police
KATONI RENDESZ= Soldier (or Military) Police

Re: Hungarian Military Police
I doubt the stripes have anything to do with unit size but, rather, just denote the difference in tasks... stripes help when seen from a distance. Wonder what two stripes would have been?
