Jubilee Medal "65 Years Of Victory In The Great Patriotic War 1941-1945".

Pridnestrovie has just issued a 65 Years Victory medal which will be awarded in two classes- gold and silver- and the design is based on the Soviet Order of Glory. This, along with a small image of the medal in it's box, is all the information I have at present. The ribbon has the familiar black and gold "Glory" colours in the center flanked by the colours of Pridnestrovie- red to one side and green to the other.

A fairly reliable source said only 2000 pieces were minted.

Nice. I only wish they had numbered them to keep the copies of the original 2000 to a minimum.

A real stroke of luck netted me these beauties... both gold and silver versions (I probably owe Karma big time for these). First, the gold...

The special case has a description of just what Transnistria is on the back. I would have thought if you lived there you would know?

This one was awarded to Aleksandr Dem'janovich Zheltov on 31st March 2010. The serial number 009443 must mean they didn't start at 0 if there were only 2000 produced.

Another clue to the number manufactured is contained on the printed insert to this presentation case states "Т(ираж) 15,000." Seems 2K may be entirely too low.
