Fake Nakhimov Medals

I really do not understand those sellers, who place on EBay awards worth 1000 USD and provide such a crappy pictures like this. With those images it is impossible to say anything about authenticity of this medal. Fakes are getting better every year, so detailed pictures are necessary. Maybe you can send a message to the seller and ask him for big images?

What is the opinion? It seems to have 110 on the front and 111 on the back.

Anything else that stands out besides the obvious color of the thing.

Sorry but these are the best scan I can receive at this time. No idea about a number on the edge.

Is this real? As I am only learning, I was suspicious about the 1 and the 2 when compared to serial numbers posted here earlier.

The Nakhimov medal is one of the most valuable, and of the most widely faked, Soviet medals. Authentication is conducted on minute details.
I guess you get my point about your scans...

I would not even call it a quality fake: ring attachment (shape, traces), mushy chain links on the reverse, uneven edges, medal seems thin, serial numbers, etc.
By the way, is that a mole on Nakhimov's cheek? ;)
