It's a beautiful piece, but many of them sell in Russia as souvenirs.

I don't know much about steel either, but it seems that the handle design of this Russian dagger harkens back to Imerial era insead of the Soviet designs. Anyone got any Imperial ones to post??

The shape of the handle resembles slightly that of the Russian St. George Bravery Naval Dagger, but the design is quite different.
