Wierd Mvd service cap up for your opinion

Hi folk's

this is the second of the 2 i got in today.
This cap is harder it apears to be a MVD VV Officer Service cap.
but the wierd thing is that the button's say 69.

I doubt between 2 options now.
1. it is a prived ordered one.
2. it is a down graded general cap (some seller put rongly buttons on it and cocarde) the thing with that is that the button's are stitched on.

I would really like your educated opinion's (guesses) on these 2.
Since i'm just a collector for 2 years and a bit of a novice it certainly find this mvd kinda hard.

kind regards ser-g

The year "69" states that the buttons were made that year, the cap may be produced in the years after. The inside shows wear, right?

i still have to restore that.

Serg,

Are there any markings on it at all?

From the look of it, it could be a M69 General's service cap, but we need to check a few more things to be sure.

there are no markings that are known to me.

there is some thing on the inside of the liner wat looks like a bleu circel with a mark inside (looks a bit like ballpen made).
too fage for a picture, but i tried.

the sweat diamond looks as if it ever had something pure white on it (maybe a lettering or so).

the liner is greasy are if it was rubbed in with some kinda grease (posibly vasiline).

kind regards ser-g

MVD cap

Serg,

I would not 'overthink' this cap; to me it's simply a nice quality MVD officers cap. The liner is a very nice quality for an officer, but I do not think unheard of. It's a good cold war era cap!

but was is comon for a normal officer (say under rank of general) to have this kinda upgraded liner and visor.
or was it a prived pushase ?
and what kinda date would you hang on it ?

that is more or less the question that i'm troubling with

Mvd

Who knows where or why it was made the way it was...was the officer a full colonel who wanted the nicer quality cap than that for a captain or major? Never really know, but i think its fine.

Dating is tough...button dates only mean that the buttons were made that year...these buttons are 1969, so the hat could be anywhere past that really...1970's? I am not sure we can be more exact than that.
