Re: Order "Grunwald Cross".

I must admitt I have only once seen an authentic Grunwald Cross For sale, so I cannot tell what the costs would be. An authentic undocumented GC3 went for around 350pln (~100USD), which is quite a sum for a PRP award. A documented one would be more expensive and the price of a group (if sold as group) would be exorbitant. The problem is that in Poland groups are hardly ever sold as groups - they are sold to pieces, as someone needed only one award or doc...

Re: Order "Grunwald Cross".

Thanks for the input Al-muell. I sure that time will make a market for groups even in Poland. Until then the stamp/coin collecting approch to awards will make collecting life just a little bit more frustrating.

Re: Order "Grunwald Cross".

Sadly, I think that every field of medal collecting goes through that sort of evolution: From the philatelic "get one of each and each variety to fill the holes in the album" to the more historical phaleristic approach of stydying the history behind the "things". Unfortunately, by that time so many groups will have been ripped apart, paperwork trashed, history clear-cut. But so it is, I guess.

And without good reference books (in any language) things are just made worse.
